One creature, two alignments?

First Post
A creature with more than one head can have two alignments?
An ettin, Demogorgon... wearing a Helm of Opposite Alignment on one head, would have two alignments (the original for one head and the opposite for the other)?

In the adventure the Ettin’s Riddle, a NPC has two alignments and two personalities (he has been "cursed" by his god).

A double alignment would allow a character to choose not compatible PrC.
Try a Sacred Exorcist/Master of Shroud!

True, but since you lose all prestige class abilities if you lose the prerequisites, each personality would have access to only one of the classes. I don't see a problem.

Good adventure, by the way. My players ate it up.

That's a fantastic idea!

I'll have to use that sometime- it also lends itself to the old "trick the heads into fighting with each other" approach...

There is a PrC named Thrall to Demogorgon on "Book of Vile Darkness". That PrC has one extraordinary ability at 8th level (Two Personas) that allows a player to multiclass freely with no XP penalties:

Two Personas (Ex): An 8th level thrall to Demogorgon goes a little insane, if he is not already mad. The thrall develops a multiple personality disorder that has the side effect of allowing the character to multiclass freely with no experience point penalties

But I don't know if that means that if you take PrC that are the opposite the abilities one gives you are negated by the other (like the example given before: Sacred Exorcist/Master of Shrouds). I think that this abilitty does not count to PrCs because they don't count to XP penalties, but this PrC is an approach to that of "two alignments" thing. The character has to be quite insane to do this! (But it's an interesting thing to put PC's on a problem...yeah, hehehe)

Bye! ;)

Believe me, you haven't lived until your character possesses both a lawful good and chaotic evil artifact, and the DM is rolling round by round to see which one controls you.

DM - The Amulet has the upper hand
Me - I heal the fighter

DM - The Sword takes control
Me - Summon UNdead!
