I might be up for something.

Have you run a PbP before? Everything takes a VERY long time, so I suggest something short. (City of the Spider Queen would likely take more than one year to run in PbP, and I doubt that DM or players will maintain interest in the game for that long.)

Mysteries of the Moonsea, even though it sounds like a regional sourcebook, is actually a series of VERY short adventures, with several for each level of play. You could pick anything that interests you from your preferred level.

[EDIT]I've looked at the modules mentioned above and both would require some conversion, "Expedition" prohibitively much I believe. The adventure of Skip's I'll keep in mind, but I would prefer to choose something published under the 3.5 ruleset.

I'm relatively new to PbP (6 months or so), but I well understand the nature of the beast. CotSQ (I've played through it in its entirety) could take a year as a tabletop game. I'd be surprised if PbP didn't take 3 or more. Something a little less expansive is probably in order. Underdark adventures are a very good fit for this level range, though, so I'll check out the suggestions listed so far.

Are there any other ideas? Planar exploration? Does anyone have opinions on the nature of the game, i.e. lots of combat, lots of dramatic interaction?

Also, feel free to begin posting character ideas, etc. The longer I have to work with you on any details, etc., the better chance of getting you into the game (no matter the setting).

Well, I've long wanted to play in several published adventures. There include Age of Worms, Red Hand of Doom, Sinister Secret of Saltwater, and others.... can't think of any more offhand. These listed are for lower level PCs, but that's what I'm more comfortable with, anyway

Well for a character idea, I'm thinking of doing something completely off the wall and random. I can't make up my mind though if I want to do a halfling Paladin, or a dwarven bard. Yes, I know the skeptiscim out there, but I still think these would be two awsomes ideas if done proably. Though I'm leaning towards the halfling paladin more than the dwarven bard. Anyone have any suggestions?

@Vigwyn: Mysteries of the Moonsea looks like it might be perfect depending on the level requirements for the included quests. I'll have to page through it at a store over the holidays.

@Ivellious/Everyone: I'd caution you against making a character too handicapped, e.g. a Bard with reduced Charisma, because whatever adventure I run, I plan for the enemies to be viciously run, and for combat to be difficult and exciting. A halfling Paladin, on the other hand, seems that it could overcome its difficulties without too much trouble.

@Voidrazor: Make sure you read up on the polymorph eratta before constructing a druid.

@Manzanita: I am actually a player in the Age of Worms at the moment, so that one is off limits to me. I'm also not completely opposed to running an adventure of slightly lower level, the conversations I've had with some who are planning to join the game indicate that a mid-upper level adventure would be preferable.

I'd like to play! I do only have access to the SRD at the moment (though I can probably borrow books and/or beg advice, so I shouldn't be too much trouble). Is that okay? :) Would be interested to play a human or elven rogue.

I don't have any setting suggestions though, sorry!
