Online Wargame: ULTIMATUM game #1

Gentlemen.
It seems my request for allies has gone unanswered. That is quite understandable. Perhaps the incentives have been lacking. Perhaps if I explain the situation you will understand why the outcome of my little war against Poland and Germany can have dire consequences for you.
Both sides in this conflict have suffered enormous casualties. Even though the Axis has lost more men than I have I am hard pressed to fight off their numerical and productive superiority. I might yet emerge victorious, but the outcome is uncertain. It is quite possible that they will defeat me, and I will know when I have reached the point when resistance has become futile. Rather than continue to fight, and thereby cause the deaths of millions, I will when that time comes surrender to the Germans.
All my 23 provinces, all my resources, money and soldiers will be given to the Reich without a fight. Poland will get nothing. In one single day Germany will become by far the strongest power on the continent, their wehrmacht and their production will eclipse all of you. Soon the German armies will sweep across your borders and destroy your chances of victory. Germany will win the game, all of you will lose.
We can still avoid that unfortunate fate. If Germany is attacked with sufficient power by another nation my hope of survival will become strengthened and I will no longer have any reason to surrender. You will still have a chance to be victorious. The choice is yours.

Sorry to see what have happen. You was fearing to see the Reich to win, now it is the France who is leading... well, we will see if he is as neutral as he told.

I didn't expect France to give away half of my former territories to my enemies. Maybe he believes they will refrain from attacking him in his undefendable eastern provinces. Real world history indicates that it is counterproductive to try to appeace expansionistic german dictators, by giving them the weapons they will later use to attack you. But what do I know, I just got my ass kicked .

If he kept all your territories he would have been seen as the number one threat by everyone and attacked immediately.

He's still the number one threat to everybody, and he will remain that way unless he continues to weaken himself. Gratitude and sentimentality are irrelevant, they change nothing.

He is giving away just enough to calm everybody but not enough to lose... if will still be the enemy...

I am moving Saturday, so I doubt I will be able to look at my mails for a short time, but too long for Ultimatum, so I must get out of the game.

That's too bad, you were so close to victory. It's a shame to have to throw it all away now, and you might not have to. If you give me your password to the game I can run your nation in your absence. Since my character hates the Poles and Germans passionately there would be no conflict of interest. We were allies once and I have nothing left to gain since my nation has been utterly destroyed. My accomplishments will be yours. I could continue the war according to your orders and when you return I will return the power over your nation to you.

Too late. I have distribute my lands, or should I say given them all to the Spain. I am even surprise that he left me some. The game is return to a balance between the three and it should be interesting to look at.

But be sure of one thing. If there is another game that is started soon, I will join and you'll see, I will take my revenge. I start to have some good experience of war. Even without the help of the French, I would have stand a chance against Poland, Germnay and Spain, I would have needed some time...

Well, it will be for another game. Anyway, I don't consider I have lost. I have only chosen not to win.
