D&D 5E [OOC] A Light Hearted Princes of Elemental Evil Hack and Slash

Aridha still has heals to burn...a 2nd level and some first level Cure Wounds. She can get folks up and moving, but yeah, we need to find someplace to lick our wounds. Hopefully this jolly gang represents the worst of what the monastery can throw at us.

In other news...man, I can't believe how ineffectual I was during that fight.

Of course, it wasn't helped by the fact that I missed half my turns.

I'm sinking into a funk here again. I think I'd better find some funny kitten vids on Youtube for a while, so I can bury my legitimate concerns about my future in this game under a pastiche of kawaii.

Hah. Sorry. I try to wait to some degree. I then make low key decisions that might not be the most effective (so you still have your resources). It's interesting because Aridha comes across as one of the most effective characters in brief glimpses. The transformation ability to temporarily shrug off damage is crazy, or the spider antics in darkness were both good.

Slugging it out Dire wolf to Qarbo, Qarbo would win. He still had shield spells and other things, but eventually the party would turn on him.

We are still, to a lesser degree from before, moving faster than a lot of PbP games. It's not the easiest.

I'm also not delving into particularly good explanation/RP for combat from the NPC/enemy sice. I've done more for that in the past, but here I'm just sort of... well... look at the post where I said, "stuff happens".

Adorbs.

I might find taking a spine or two worth it to hug him.

And yeah, Creamsteak, I'm just sulking because I had a long string of TERRIBLE rolls. But it wasn't just in that game even. Pretty much all my games in Enworld have just been coming up crappy, in terms of rolls lately.

Have I done wrong? Must I atone? I know not.

Maybe the key is in the Invisible Castle.

Third level spells also represent a big quantum leap for spellcasters, I'll say. Particularly offensive spells.

You also get the cantrip bump to damage. In the case of a warlock with agonizing blast, the difference is significant.
I agree we need to get out of there and rest, to come back. Perhaps pull the lever back up?
Cheers,

SG

I'm starting to think we might want to head back to Red Larch and see if anyone local knows anything about these cults. The one thing we've really been lacking is information about them.

Red Larch is probably about two days away or so. Not that it's a bad idea, just gonna take a while.

Might as well wrap things up at the temple before they get reinforcements... We're close enough to see whatever comes in or out. and could strike in 8 hours after a long rest...
Thaliss won't oppose the group though.
Cheers,

SG
