BTW, one question: Has Calahan a special status within the group as an official constable at the Paridon police department, or are all the others official investigators as well? - Just to know how to behave.

We're all cops. Father Berman doubles as a police chaplain.

You are all official Paridon policemen. You have the power to arrest people, put them in protective custody, carry weapons and use force as necessary, that sort of thing. You are expected to show at least some measure of decorum, but that's not always guaranteed.

We want to take Alek into custody, and we should try to avoid a fight.

We should then take him to a secure facility for questioning, but not to the same place as the other gnomes.

Our party being in Paridon, I wonder when the cult phrase "INTO THE SEWERS!" will be spoken out for the first time...

The PCs already caught the madman with the exploding mask just as he was entering the sewers... So it was a close call, there.

By the way, I like everyone's discussion of their thoughts in the IC thread, too. It really helps to showcase the tension in an otherwise serene scene. Let's see what happens next!
