Yes, that's correct. A quasi surprise round where you can reposition if you so choose or prepare a minor action as Kalbon growls at the disobedient pixies.

I half think that the caryatid's attacked because we attacked Kalbon. Maybe if we sheathed weapons they'd stop, but that might not be a gamble that you folks are all that keen on.

Rain could play with Arcane Mutterings to try a +10 Bluff, Diplomacy or Intimidate check.

jbear, is Caryatid 2 bloodied at all?

Contemplating Zuri stabbing Caryatid 2 with Combat Advantage, and minor action healing Rain through Sabynha's Skald's Aura.

Rain may move if Caryatid 2 destroyed and she'll probably mark Caryatid 1 anyway. Probably Second Wind as well and Action Point to attack.

I'm okay with taking a chance on sheathing weapons. Everyone but Rain is in pretty good shape, so as long as she's okay with it too...

I had thought that sheathing weapons might be something to try, but I'm not sure Sabynha would have thought of that, so she just said what was on her mind.

Unrelated aside, to anyone who knows: just for clarification, are the backgrounds from Scales of War allowed? I'm pretty sure I read that they were banned, but I can't find the reference now. The wiki points out that the FR backgrounds are banned, but that PHB2 and other supplements are allowed. I would dearly love to retrain into one that allows me to snag WP with Rapiers without spending a feat on it...

I think FR backgrounds are not allowed under L4W rules ... but check out the tavern mate. Dead. No DMs running new adventures.

L4W as it stands is in its death throes.

If we continue after this adventure, my suggestion would be that we do so as an independent campaign where we can do as we see fit and I can just say, 'yep, retrain that background because it's fine by me.'

I like this group. I like our characters. I like the DM. I like the game. I say we keep going, as long as there's interest in doing so.

To head off DM burnout, we can even discuss rotating DMing duties if necessary.

I run the game in tabletop, but with limited a ruleset.

Anyway, CC2 took 89 Hit points, so 160 to 178hps. That's a lot to carve through. We might have to finish this round first, as Sabynha will still be packing heat.

I'll peep in tomorrow, but I will probably be distracted until Wednesday evening.

Well, they did spend APs on their first round, so that's about right for an elite. I'm not entirely sure we can take them both before they drop us because their damage output is so high. Maybe if we can quickly down 1 we have a shot.

Because of the actual sequence of events, I think the bloodied kicked in before Sabynha's attack; when I added her crit to the damage, it was at 52 damage taken, then the Wrath bloodied it, then I attacked. Is that right [MENTION=75065]jbear[/MENTION] ? If so, their HP could be as low as 120 or so. Given their defences, that hp total seems more likely.

Anyway, if you guys want to sheathe weapons, and they switch to pounding only on Sabynha, then at least we'll know
