Well that i might be interested in, btw although I am a Salvatore fan he is certainly not the best author

Good Point, I find most D&D'rs refer to his canon though, which annoys the hell out of me

I mean honestly I've read all the Drizzt books and he seems kind boring. I much preferred his side characters like Jarlaxle and Entreri

do any of us want to have a shared background story before we start or do we do the old style meet up in character thing

I would argue that Fritz Leiber, Terry Brooks, Tanith Lee, Fred Saberhagen, Jack Chalker, P.J. Farmer, and Michael Moorcock (off top of my head, and avoiding the whole Tolkien, C.J. Lewis, Arthor Conan Doyle, and R.E. Howard thing) would have something to say about that!
