[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [closed but waitlist is available]

EDIT:
sorry, I misunderstood. I read this in your post:

If they aren’t attacking, I’ll cast guidance on anyone attempting to shoo them away. I’ll make a post IC once I see what others are doing.
Oh shoot, that last paragraph wasn’t supposed to be there! (I copy-paste from the RotFM adventure when guiding my area descriptions but then I deviate from that according to our game needs, and I must have forgotten to delete that). Fixed it now! Thank you for catching it Taran!

Unless the rats are blocking our path, I say let them be. They will retreat if they are normal wild animals since we're bigger and there is more of us unless we go toward their young.

I'd rather just get out of here, do a short rest outside well away from the cavern exit, and then we can do some recon and decide whether to take a long rest before or after dealing with the murderer's caravan.

My vote would be to take a long rest before engaging, if at all possible. Jack is all out of spells, sorcery points, etc. NOT to give our DM any crazy ideas but, at some point, pulling too many all-nighters in a row will just lead to exhaustion anyway, and then we're even worse off.

At least we might try to get an idea of where they are, so as to try to track them more easily, in case they are leaving town soon.

My bad, I thought they were not blocking our path. If they are, I'm in favor of getting past them posthaste with minimal violence and noise. They'd be easy to kill, but that could be loud, and would leave too much evidence of intruders. I'm not sure if there's some way we could lure them into the same cavern we're in, and then just walk past? Maybe Alma can tell them we mean no harm or something, similar to how she communicated with the ice toads?

We are trying to decide how we are going to deal with the giant rats that are blocking

maybe The Druid can do something? Do rats eat rations? I’ll cast guidance on anyone trying to convince them to move
