Eh, you can stop after 6. The rest of the series really pales in comparison (though I haven't played X-2, 11, or 12, so there's room for unexpected/unreported coolness, I suppose).

Loved the strip - but then I've been playing Final Fantasy since FFI. I do think my favorite part was when Thog admitted he didn't get it. Second favorite was when Elan updated the note.

I must say that I'm suprised by all the FF7 Hat(know no limit).

I thuroughly enjoyed FF7, and has been one of the few games I played exclusively from beginning to end without interruption(from other games- not sleep or work )

Anyway, I did kinda get the references, but haven't played FF6, so didn't know where they were coming from.

It's largely due to the fact that 7's been fanboyed completely and utterly to death. It was good in its time, but to a lot of folks who got introduced to the franchise by FF7, you'd think it was god's gift to gaming. And that gets kinda old after a while.
