Well, I say thumbs up to more Thoggy goodness, but thumbs down for choosing now to base half the strip on obscure references. (obscure to a lot of us anyway)

Still love the strip, but this was a bit of a momentum-breaker.

It is to me. Never played it.

But obviously Rich Burlew has, and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to include these cameos. OOTS just keeps rockin'.

Geez, it astounds me that simply because he used references to another game, how much criticism it's garnering...

I've seen comics with reference to other obscure items that didn't draw so much animosity...

The FF part was half the comic, so even if you dislike FF, you still have half a comic of good bits

I must say that I'm suprised by all the FF7 Hat(know no limit).

I thuroughly enjoyed FF7, and has been one of the few games I played exclusively from beginning to end without interruption(from other games- not sleep or work )

Anyway, I did kinda get the references, but haven't played FF6, so didn't know where they were coming from.

It isn't exactly FF7 hate... I certainly really enjoyed Final Fantasy 7 and consider it to be one of the top games of the series. It just wasn't as good as Final Fantasy 6, or even several other contemporary Square games. And even Final Fantasy 6 was surpassed by Chrono Trigger. Just because I consider it somewhat overrated doesn't mean I didn't like it a lot.

Well, personally, I wasn't really criticizing the references. I'm OK with that. I just thought it was an odd time to trot them out.

No criticism really.
