Roy will be raised sooner or later. I don't think anyone has the ten minutes it takes with the battle going on. We still don't know how the overall battle is going though, so it could take tens of comics to even get that far.

I'm hoping for a long period of non-Roy time.... the strips where he was missing for a while were some of my favorites, and Elan in particular is characterized in a much more enjoyable (to me) way when he isn't playing the "do something dumb so Roy can scowl/be sarcastic/enhance his martyr complex" one note role.

I know to a lot of people Roy is The Star of the strip, but I see it as an ensemble with Roy being no more irreplacable than anyone else.
