I like the theory that the Creature in the Darkness is some kind of avatar or manifestation of the Snarl, only a very weak version of it so it's got a childlike mentality and proportionate strength (instead of killing Gods in one or two hits it's "merely" got the power we've seen of it). Xykon did already destroy one gate before Dorukan's, so he's been dealing with them before and might have released the CitD from Dorukan's Gate or Liirian's Gate before their destruction.Darklone said:The ticklish thing looks more like some big DR to me.
Possibly the often assumed stacking of templates.
How many templates do you know that lower Int and Wis?
I think we have just found our Blackguard... a new enemy for OotS, without a flamewar with the Miko supporters. Everybody wins! (Except Belkar, of course. But hey...)Sammael said:Does not bode well for O-Chul? Who cares?
LOL I am a moron. I replied before reading the very next post. Well, at least that means I am likely right in my guess!WD40 said:I see a deathknight looming, thats why!
[edit] oh wait... O-Chul's not dead yet is he?
Still he's got plenty of material to turn bad guy... Blows himself up to save the kingdom, gets abandoned by his rescuers... Is there enough angst there to spawn a Blackguard? [/edit]
I loved the 'running away during the monologe' bit.. That made me laugh...
I was also confused as why the roches were taking such an active part in this too.. then I read: "Who's the side dish now halfling!" and it all fell into place!

I dunno. Rich has been pretty good about knowing what stats resolve as what plots.Stalker0 said:Its as powerful as plot.
