Anyone else notice that Nero referred to V as a he?

Never thought Rich would actually settle it, but there it is.

Rich has said before that a particular character may refer to V as he or she, but that is just based on how that individual perceives him/her, and not a declaration by Rich as to the true gender (if there is one ;) )

(or at least that is what i thought i read rich saying at one point).

The fiends don't know what his/her gender really is from a few strips ago.

Hmmm. Technically, it was the other two who explicitly didn't know V's gender (in 387 the Cedrik and Lee say She--he--it?). But I'll admit that's too dodgy for even me to buy. Far more likely that they don't know her/his gender and slipped.

In the very next panel, Qarr refers to V as "she" without any correction. It's exactly the same as the last 253 times someone used a gender pronoun for V. That is, inconclusive and meaningless.

I think I would have liked this storyline better if V had to deal with the consequences of his actions instead of having a Faustian deal to save his ass.

It feels cheap.
