Slight bit of calculation. Xykon is either atleast 27th level (with full ranks in Knowledge (arcana) or is atleast 21st level but also has a 30+ in Cha. He cast 3 10th level spell slots (Superb Dispelling, Still Meotor Swarm, and Maximized Energy Drain). Only way to be able to do that is by being able to either have 30+ ranks in knowledge arcane or to just have the normal 2 from Improved Spell Capacity feat (with 20+ ranks in knowledge arcane) and an additional spell slot from a high Cha (in this case 30+).
Something somebody else made up?
Let's see... That rules out:
*Things that actually exist
*Things Rich Burlew made up
That does not rule out:
*Pretty much anything
Leaves things quite wide open, actually.
I also think it is an abomination. Perhaps also why the goblins weren't scared of it: it is descendant from a goblin god?Using the SRD, I compiled a partial list of monsters that have teleport and might fit the MitD evidence. At first I thought he was psionic since Stomp is a psionic power and it looks like he used it when Haley and Belkar retreived Roy's corpse.
Hunefer - epic undead with teleport but much too smart
Phrenic template - add psionics to non-psionic race
Elder Titan - epic creature that can teleport but also too smart
IeShay - Elf-like fey that's too smart but has a teleport and charm monster as a gaze attack
Abomination - epic outsider that has spell like abilities and can be any size. They link has a few examples but if you mix and match Anaxim and Xixecal you can get MitD. In addition, "All abominations are born directly (or indirectly) from a god and some lesser creature (or idea), but none are favored, wanted, or loved."
I'm tending towards an abomination of some kind but we'll have to see more to be sure.
It occurs to me that Redcloak, who (it's implied) knows what the MitD is, says he spent a long time trying to figure out if they were even using psionics in this campaign. Which he would know, if MitD were a psionic monster.
So I'm thinking not.
I love how it never crosses O'Chul's mind to leave V behind. V went back for O'Chul, true, but V was invisible at the time.
O'Chul is awesome.
