GiantITP.com is being sluggish, so I'll have to go from memory.

The Bull God (sacred cow) being turned into hamburgers (heavily mentioned by developers).

Also, half-orcs origins having "uncomfortable implications that we'd rather not dwell on" was a direct quote from one of the developers about why half-orcs were left out of the PHBI.

I seem to recall another one, but without the comic for reference I can't remember what it was.

Yep I sprayed my beer onto my KB with the sacred hamburger. However those are all references to design philosophies. Saying that Elan has a class power source is saying that he is (and the others are?) following, or at least beginning to follow, 4E rules

If Durkon were serious, I'd agree, but seeing as he's being sarcastic I'd say that it only means they are AWARE of the new rules, not that they're following them.
