Open casting call for iconics- Q&A with our adoring fans

Sorry to jump in here, but the constant misuse of the term Iconic is a pet peeve of mine. It's a very specific marketing term, rather than a generic term meaning "famous and important character."

Queen Amidala, for instance, is a much more famous and imortant-to-the-overarching-plot and even more iconic character than I am, but I'm the Iconic Naboo noblewoman, and she isn't.

Anyway, sorry to butt in. Back to your bickering.

If you speak of GOOD fantasy, all you must agree taht I'm a product of the best fantasy book ever published, so neither Mialee nor you, my dear, have anything to do here...

"Eh? I read the books, and I seem to recall you singing a few songs, going through a whole lotta pining for his return, yadda yadda..."

"Oh! You sewed a banner for Aragorn! That was your big contribution to the story!"

Ma' turns to the Iconics

"Some people's children..."

The gnome in red robes clears his throat.

Ahem! Miss Arwen, I may have an opening with the humanoids if you don't mind working in heavy makeup. Pin some hairy ears on, staple on a tail, some foam padding, it might work. Otherwise, I'm afraid that we won't be able to fit you in. Although.... whispers something to Mialee; listens as she whispers back... how are you at doing your own stunts? Mialee has some difficult work coming up, and you may get to act as her understudy if you want the chance. Assuming we get permission from the Tolkein estate, of course. Otherwise, no can do.

Mialee-san, let me remind you who killed shooting star in the TV series. I might have not done much in the OVA, but in the anime, I did a lot more then Parn, Shiris, and Orson combined.
And Piratecat-sama, what about me. I am considering starting a campaign for heroes of fantasy stories, but I am not sure.

Jack looks at Deedlit for a moment...

Who are you?

He turns away and addresses the red-clad gnome...

What's the plan for the "Second Audition"? Is there anything in particular you need from me?

Not so easily fooled, Ma' leans over to the other iconics and confers with them.

"Deedlit, you sound an AWFUL LOT like that fellow who was telling us he wanted to play 'an Elf, Halfling, or Half-elf Wizard, Sorcerer, Rogue, Paladin, or Druid with a dexterity of 12 or higher'...."

"Enough of the CosPlay, kids - we Iconics are trained professionals, not Bakkas or Otakus or Bukakkes or whatever you call yourselves."

ma'varkith-san, I do not know why you would think something so outrageous. I am a high elf of Lodoss, and have no more to do with that poster then Mialee here does.
And Jack-san, I am Deedlit of the anime series Record of Lodoss War.

The sound of someone running in iron shod boots comes from the corridor outside. A rather flustered looking dwarf comes dashing in, leafing through a sheaf of papers.

"Sorry I'm late! Awful traffic outside. Have there been any questions for me? Have I missed anything?"

Kazak looks around to see Alhandra threatening Jack, a jedi with an ignited lightsaber and Mialee engaged in a staring match with some badly animated lass. A look of confusion crosses his face.

"Nebin lad, what's going on?"
