Origins...they could be doing better

Well, it seems that Origins has canceled some games and tickets even after people bought them. They of course have choosen not to actually notify you if they canceled some of your games. It doesn't look like they refunded any money or anything. It really is a bit underhanded of them.

A friend mentioned it to me, I went to my Origins account and looked at my purchases and 2 of my tickets have been canaceled.

I'd recommend contacting them as quickly as possible about it. If they actually don't do something about it, god help 'em when the gamers arrive.

Hey Crothian!

Keep in mind that the events could have been cancelled due to the DM who originally submitted them. Something I was a bit concerned about, because they did make it VERY easy to sumbit games for Origins this year. The DM's at Origins have been somewhat notorious for cancelling games (IMHE), which is really too bad.

I've got a friend that's working for Origins downtown, if you'd like me to drop him a line and find out the skinny on any of your individual game cancellations, just let me know.

I'm really looking forward to Origins this year! I am fearful that one of the world's premier gaming conventions is right here in our backyard and is at risk, as a number of game company's are choosing to ditch it in favor of Gen Con.

In past years DM's that canceled usually just never showed for the game. I've never had a game canceled like this before.

I love Origins and if you can e-mail your friend that would be greater. I'm just curious if they are plaing to offer refunds, generic tickets, or just plan on taking my money. If you can find info on a specific event 3141 :Priceless is the one event I was really looking forward to and now it seems to be canceled. Thanks Andy.

I'm sure if you contact some one in customer service they will help you get everything straightened out. They've been pretty helpful to the people I know who have had similar problems. And if you're looking to fill a slot with a new gaming experience I strongly reccommend Living Arcanis. There are three introductory adventures running: Taboo, One Night in Coryan, Duty and Justice; as well as an adventure introducing the players to Censure: The City of Thieves in Where the Ghost of Legend Lies.

Reespectfully,

Ya, we did that. And that's great but their response seems to indicate that unless you tell them it is a problem, it isn't a problem. They should have e-mailed people that had canceled items for whatever reason. I shouldn't have heard about it through the gaming grapvine.
