[OT] Ack! I hate it when I lose books!

Ack! I'm beside myself tonight. I've just discovered that three of my gaming books are missing!

Horrors!

These are the missing titles:

Bubblegum Crisis RPG
Bubblegum Crisis: Before and After
Bubblegum Crisis: EX

Hmmm...I think I'm seeing a pattern here....

I just got through unpacking all my gaming books after finally buying bookshelves and all (you see, I moved a few months back), so I just now noticed that they're gone. Who knows where it is? Since all three of my BGC RPG books are gone, I figure I let someone borrow them...who?

The agony!

And I know it will be harder than heck to replace these books...sigh.

Pity me!

Well, a friend borrowed all (4) my Second Edition books, shortly before he moved away... on the flip side, I got his copy of the Alternity Player's Handbook; so, all in all, I think I got the better end of the deal!

Well, I'm making plans to replace them post haste.

Anyone know of a place where I can get these books? I think some if not all of them are out of print.

I lent some FR and Dragonlance novels to a friend (5-6 books), who then moved away without bothering to give them back to me. Then he came back to town to visit people, and wondered why I wouldn't lend him any of my new books.

I haven't lost any books (at least none I can remember) but I have lost dice by the bucketful (and gained almost as many back when I GMed at Gen Con few years back - people just left piles of dice behind at 3 of the tables I GMed, wierd)

I have a blanket policy ot not loan books but have broken that in the last few months (and everything has been returned). I just don't like lending books out - my library (read: all of my books) are very precious to me.
