Frostmarrow said:Right. I used to be an avid Counter-Strike-player and the one thing I learned from playing the game is- In a firefight it's impossible to stay alive. Yup. Completely impossible. I mean even the best CS-players around can (on a public server) get stats like 30-1. That is 30 kills and 1 death. Those who can score this are truly 1337. Now, this only tells me to avoid the army at all costs because if you end up in a fire fight you are dead as a dodo no matter how skilled you are.
One other thing is that fire fights are utterly unfair. I mean you run around ruling the battlefield with your Colt Car 15 and suddenly... *smack* ...some camper with an AWP got you in his sights and dead you are.
If this game is going to teach the youth anything it's: Don't enlist for it will kill you and there is nothing you can do about it.
Lets be honest: We all know it's not gonna encourage mass signup. It's just a publicity thing.
But the one thing this game SHOULD teach you is, in a firefight, don't get bloody shot. Keep your head down. Take advantage of cover. Never stand in the open. The best map in the game to demonstrate this is the map "Bridge".
It also teaches you that a good defense can hold off quite a bit of assult... I've often prevailed in the parajump assult map as defense with odds like 3 to 11.
And it's not Counter Strike either. Played both, this is (IMHO) far better.
