Yeap the rally monkey got into the bullpen and bonds pants for game 6. I never believe how it broked down. But congrats Angels. Great series, even though no one outside of California appeared to be watching. :D

rock out! i was just glad to see someone other than the YANKEES in the world series this year. ;) hey, if anyone deserved a shot, it's two teams like the angels and the giants. much more interesting when the teams haven't won 5 world series in the last 10 years right?

Yay!!!!!

Go Angels!!!

uhm.. okay, that's enough "team spirit" for now... I think I'll need another 10 years to get recharged for the Angels :D

Well Pat, I'm here live in LA (almost Anaheim) and I can tell you that they're going crazy! Yes, the racket from the millions of thundersticks is so loud that windows have shattered up to 10 blocks away from the park!

...which is why I'm sitting here posting to the ENboards instead of being somewhere.

Besides, I don't really care about sports, not even a fair weather fan, but next week we can get back to something really important.

Simpson's Holloween special!

Y'know, I haven't watched baseball since teh Pirates broke my heart one time too many back in the early 90's.

I watched game 6 yesterday from the top of the 7th, I think (5-0 Giants). What a game! I was r00ting for the Angels since Barry Bonds plays for the other mob and I noticed something different about him since I last saw him about 10 years ago.

About 40 pounds.

The guy's become an absolute TANK since he left Pittsburgh! No wonder he whacks so many homers now.

I noticed in game 6 that he's become a useless fielder, but I wonder: Can he still steal bases or has he become just another one-dimensional outfield slugger?

Actually, I think his fielding's gotten a lot better over the years. Something about Anaheim really took it out of him though. It was the worst fielding I've seen him do in a while.

I don't have the figure in front of me, but I know he stole loads of bases this year.

And "one-dimensional outfield slugger"? Is that a joke? He's the greatest home run hitter since Hank Aaron. He shattered McGwire's single season home run record. He won the batting title this year. He's #4 on the all-time home run leader list. You can call that one-dimensional if you want, but most teams would fall all over themselves for that particular dimension.

Oh, and to all of you Anaheimers out there: Drink your champagne. Have your fun. April will be here before you know it. And we will have our revenge.

angels win, giants left complaining for another season

Being from L.A., there's few things I like better than seeing the Giants lose. And next to them losing to the Dodgers, seeing them lose to the Angels is oh-so-sweet!

And besides, the Giants are like the Red Sox: cursed for all eternity. Haven't won a series since moving to CA, and never will. Instead, they just spend their time complaining about how their ridiculous payroll just isn't enough.
