I know I'm not really known 'round here, but I would just like to say I'm very sorry for what has happened. But I am also very happy that you have been able to see the hidden blessing in this situation.

Mark, my deepest sympathies go out to you and Melody. No one should have to go through that...someone I knew once said that happiness was that "grandparents die, parents die, children die" and when asked why that was what happiness was, just responded "what order would you have it be?"

It's a testament to your courage and emotional fortitude that you can not only bear this sadness, but grow from it, and let it bring you closer to your lifemate, instead of letting it drive you apart and scare you away from the possibility of someday having another child.
