Most of my lawyer contacts are in Chicago, but I've sent out some e-mails. I'll let you know if I find any leads.

Best of luck to you and your family, my friend.

I hope everything sorts out for the best, Mistwell.

The last one was an echocardiogram, which was basically a sonogram that spent a lot of time looking at the heart. They told us that our baby (a girl) had an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD)[...]
If it can relieve you, I have something very similar (if not the same, can't quite remember), and I probably still wouldn't even know were it not for the military draft's visit. Heh, I don't like drafting, and Italy is abolishing it, but the mass health screening of the whole male population was a good thing. Anyway, it's pretty much an irrelevant defect AFAIK.

Have 2 kids and even with medical issues--RSV (breathing issues) for my daughteer and a stomach issue with my son, I can not express the love I have for them. I know a few people in that area (none are lawyers) but ya never know, let me work my mojo.

Good luck and god speed.

Mistwell,

My wife spent a month in the hospital on strict bedrest before our son was born (3 months premature). I know you don't know me from Adam, but if there is any information you would like or questions I can answer please let me know. My wife and I have found that it is often nice just to talk with someone that has been through something similar.

Good luck to you -- and force the doctors to explain EVERYTHING that they are doing for your wife and child.

Actually I am curious about the adverse health effects on the baby from being born so premature. Are there any? If so, what are they?
