[OT] Bahhhh Anybody else wroking??

I'm at work here at Dell, where I do Wireless Networking support for major accounts. We're getting a few calls in Wireless ... mostly people who got a new Wireless Network for Christmas and need help setting it up.

working

be glad you are working. I had a car accieent back in march and I'm only now getting back. at least if you are working then while that sucks on hollidays, you ARE being paid for it.

I get to work the Owl shift (midnight-8:00) until New Year's Eve... Triple time and a 10% shift premium is a strong incentive to work Christmas Morning and New Year's Eve.

I just checked my shift schedule for the new year, and consider myself lucky that I get to work on every major holiday next year.

Yeah, I'm working today. I work for a newspaper. But my hours are unusual. I worked last night until about 9 p.m., then went home to finish getting presents ready for Christmas. Came back to work at 1 a.m. this morning and worked until 7 a.m., then went home to open presents with my wife.

Ate "breakfast," took a little nap, now I'm back at work and will be here until I get through with my weekend section -- probably about 1 a.m.

I'll have to repeat most of this for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

I'm working today, I like working Christmas though, it's quiet and the paper is to bed early because fo the overtime involved:)

Yes, heck yes, as a freelance writer, I never get vacations.

Oh and I used to work in EMS, and I never particularly like the night of December 24th... medical \ trauma emergencies combined with this day were just eerie, even though I VOLUNTEERED to take the shift every year. I am Jewish, so I'd rather have somebody else at home with family and friends.

Ha! For me it is my first Christmas off in 5 years got to spend the whole day with the family rather than just a cameo appearance! But I will miss the over time paycheck.

Yeap,

...I'm at HP's Main Site in Boise Idaho, manning an internal help desk (like anyone is gonna be doing defect tracking work today).

Anyhow, first Christmas in the new house with the GF living with me and what do I get stuck doing for 12 hours (work).

Figures.

Small world I got out around mid night at Mack Molding whom used to mold most of your preproduction product. funny.
