[OT]Brett Favre

Well there is the Minnesota game last week. 3 interceptions against a team you can hardly call tough.

Right, so one bad game against a bad team (Vikings) and a bad game against a good team (Bucs). His last bad game was what the playoffs against the Rams last year? Players have bad weeks, I think people jumpt on teams and players way to easily.

Favre is one of the best QBs of all-time and you gotta love his attitude and his passion for the game.

There's no way you look to replace him this season, he's still too good. Even great players have bad games...

But, I agree with JC and pogre that Green Bay needs to pick up someone soon and start grooming him to replace Favre in a few years.

Of course, I wanted Ray Lucas booted a few games ago...but, now I've calmed down and he's handing the ball off to Ricky nicely. :D

Of course I admit I am biased. Especially since it hit the news about a month back that the Green Bay Packers had a dedicated program set up for cheating as a general team strategy.

In my opinion that means we can put an asterick next to every record and stat under Favre's name forever.

How is this an RPG discussion? At least put an OT tag or something. Sheesh...

Edit: I see you've been dinged for this already, but it bears repeating...

heheh.... I do agree that it needs an [OT] tag. I tried to give it an RPG spin using Mark's mad rant but I guess it didn't take. ;)

Why exactly does it bear repeating? Have nothing better to do with your spare time then beat a dead horse?

I'm personally still pissed they didn't flag Sapp for that hit on Clifton. I was glad to see Mike Sherman get in his face about it afterward though. :)

It was not an illegal hit. A general rule is that once there is an interception all of the offensive players who are running anywhere towards the ball are open targets.

I have heard that people say this is unfair since it means the quarterback becomes an instant target but look at it this way. On one of the interception that Brett threw it was Brett himself who chased down the guy and pulled him out of bounds.

Basically Sapp got a good hit in and the guy landed bad. If the GB guy had not been hurt then this wouldnt be news at all since hits like that happen on EVERY interception in a game.

Persopally I have a lot more of a problem with Sherman showing now class and telling Sapp to "F-off" on the field like he did. That is not how you handle things and sounds more like what you would hear the hood players of the NBA say.

I think Brett is playing injured. The last two weeks he has not been in top form, the two weeks since his knee was bent harshly in a direction that it is not supposed to. Anyway, he is a great QB, but GB played another good team and lost. When they lose to the Bears you can talk about him being washed up.

This is true. All the players on offense once possession is changed become defenders or the equivelent of defensive backs. You hardly ever see a penalty thrown when a tight-end crushes a blitzing linebacker...
