(OT) Can I crash on your couch?

Hey garyh! I had no idea!

I actually lived in Davis for about seven years, but from the second week in August til I left near the end in September I was staying with my love slave and her pug in midtown.

When I get back we'll have to get together!

Cool, Jester. I'm actually midtown-ish (by McKinley Park) myself. I moved in with my, um, "love slave" :) in late July. I was in SoCal prior to that.

When are you getting back to Sac?

(Must sleep... be back on tomorrow...)

Good question... My ticket runs to near the end of November but my money will run out before then, however I'll prolly try to pick up a day or two's work somewhere to keep going, so... we'll see.

Talk to you later!

but with all these offers in Ohio, Indiana, etc. I may have to revise my travel plans a little! I'd love to meet all you folks, and really, I'm not an axe murderer or anything. You can tell 'cause Alsih2o's still posting. :D

Or IS he? :D

I hope you make it this far north. It'd be fun to game with you!

Wow, you guys are great!

My next stop is Atlanta, hopefully in time for Angelsboi's birthday, then I'm heading up the east coast for a while...

Sweet. Angelsboi posed the question to our group for a game.

Maybe you'd like a room with an old Original D&D crusty in Stoned Mountain?

Jester FYI ...

My group doesnt meet until NEXT sunday if you would like to meet Olgar Shiverstone and Diaglo also from these boards. They said you could jooin a game =)

YOu will miss my bday celebration but you will still get to play in my saturday game (nov 2nd) and my sunday game (nov 3rd)

I had a website idea for a place where people could invite others to stay in their house for free. In exchange, you could get to stay in the other people's house for free. Like a community hotel service. I think there's actually a name for it, but I forget.

The idea would be that you could get an Ebay like rating from the hosts where you stay, and vice-versa. "Great host, served me breakfast!" or "Great guest, always put the seat down." That kind of stuff.

The thing is, if there were enough people in it, you'd never have to stay in a hotel again. You could travel anywhere in the country, or even the world, and stay for free everywhere.

die_kluge, potters have a network like this that goes one step further. all the stays are somewhat long term, and involve a studio swap.

if you get bored of making pots where you are you sign up and trade homes and studios with another potter in another part of the world for 1-24 months. lots of realy cool success stories have come from it.

also, look up castlekeepers, folks who occupy homes in the $1,000,000+ range so that they sell quicker. you keep the house neat and tidy, and be ready to move on 2 weeks notice and you get to live in million dollar houses for free :)

Well, since Angelsboi's game is next weekend, not this weekend, my plans may be abruptly revised!

Maybe what I'll do instead... hm... (checks greyhound website)...

Okay, then; Crothian, as you have the notorious feat Amazing Post Count, I may have to head your way. I'll send you an email to try coordinating, and we'll see what happens. I was planning on leaving here tonight, since the necromancy I used on Alsih2o will be wearing off soon- er, I mean, I don't want to wear out my welcome- and I'll shoot for next weekend for Angelsboi. Diaglo, maybe I could take you up on that couch offer then, since you folks game together? And I've definitely been suffering from dnd withdrawal- I haven't had a game since Seattle!

GoldenEagle, I sympathize with your need for a guest for the guest room- I'll email you too, and we'll see what happens.

Tarchon, Alsih2o said some really nice things about you, and judging by the quality of his character (er, well, I mean... not his character, but his player... er... you know what I mean), I'd love to drop in on you too.

So: I'll email a couple of you, revise my travel plans to accomodate Angelsboi's gaming schedule, and go from there....

Thanks again to all of you crazy folks!
