Jester, that is cool. I will see later this week if the bf will let you crash on our couch since he takes me to my game on Sunday =). You can play Saturday and then Sunday you can stay with Diaglo and meet our infamous group. We're pretty wild =)

Trying to come up with a game in 1 week ...

Well, as far as a character- I can always make one if that's cool; I'm always a little uncomfortable playing an npc or someone else's character because, you know, it's never the same- all of a sudden the personality changes, you don't know the history, etc. Of course, if you have a "guest pc" type npc, then it's a little different; I know Piratecat has visitors play a lot of the npcs in his game, for example.

But I also know how hard it can be to work in a new character, especially a one-shot, so whatever! I'm adaptable and easy-going, I could play the cleric, the paladin, or something else entirely. I have a million different character concepts I've been meaning to try (Sarcastro the half-elven bard being perhaps the one I'm most itching for- a bard whose performance types specialize in sarcasm, insults, etc.)

Well Jester, everyone in my Saturday game is roughly about 2 or 3rd level. Go ahead and make a character and let me know whats up. We play from 10 am to about 3 or 4.

I still need to create a game ...

What sort of character creation rules do you use? Standard 4d6, drop the lowest? (That's what I prefer- I kinda hate point buy because you never end up with a 3, and a really low stat goes a long way towards making a character interesting.)

I'll assume 2nd level unless I hear otherwise, with standard 2nd-level starting gear?

thats correct. 4d6 drop the lowest, reroll 1s (if you wish)

Its their first time in my world so you will get the briefing. Now lets see if i can actually come up with something ...

Just wanted to give a big thank you to Golden Eagle for putting me up... You ENWorlders and your fantastic hospitality, it's amazing! For people who've never met me, you guys sure treat me well. I also got a chance to play my first Call of Cthulu (non-d20) game last night- and I lived through it!

Anyway, I'll get around to posting about my adventures in Louisville KY soon in the Real-World Adventures thread.
