[OT-Football] Why doesn't chaos like this ever happen in American sports!

Actually, the NHL's stadiums are "fuller" than what may appear. From what I understand, a great number of the Ice Level seats are bought by companies via Season Tickets to give to clients, employees etc.

However, a large percentage of these, though bought are not actually occupied, so the team is getting the revenue, even though there is not a body in them.......

Additionally, playoffs pretty much sell out - generating a great deal of revenue for the league.

Well, the plus side of this SPL situation.

The new 'SPL' or whatever they call it will be more competative. Old Firm v. everyone else games weren't 7-0 blowouts usually. But there's never any doubt Celtic or Rangers will win the trophies. And it's true that before the Gang of Ten gave the Old Firm the boot, Celtic and Rangers were lookinug at playing in the English leagues. I know the Superleague idea was floated around, but it didn't seem to catch on. I think both Celtic and Rangers could hold their own in the English Premier League.

I don't know how it is in other cities but in Detroit the lions sell out every game and they are the worst team in the league I'd say they were doing fairly well at least fincially as if the owner actually cared weather they do or not considering they are the Ford family,Yes I mean that ford family,Of Ford motor company.
