(OT) Frustrated after surgery

Hey,

I just had knee surgery on Thursday (menescis tear arthroscapy) and have been laid up in bed all weekend. This was not a problem because I had ordered Oathbound, Books of the Righteous, and the Book of Eldritch Might on Monday...lots to read while I was healing. Well today is Saturday and no books...ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Oh, bitter irony  The one time I have off from work and all to myself, no bloody books. Sorry but I just had to rant!!! Thanks for listening.

Heh... Yep, that blows.

Would it make you feel any better to hear a detailed account of my highly painful recovery from ACL reconstruction a couple of years ago? ;)

Still, it might not be as bad as you think, depending on what they gave you for the pain... Morphine in the hospital + fantasy books before going to sleep = some freakin' messed up dreams...

Get well soon...

Hey!

I just had to same surgery on Tuesday.. It sucks but it does get better (and I also had my ACL reconstructed a few years ago.. that REALLY sucks).

Thank goodness we have lots to read on these boards!

You too. I had my right one done a few years ago and its as good as new...the ACL sounds really bad!

Yep, there is a lot to read on these boards...I've been lurking for a couple of days now.

Thanks for the support everyone.

Well, I hope you recover quickly, Thyrkill. And yes, it does suck when something you've ordered just doesn't arrive day...after day... after day!

Still, my suggestion to you would be get a pencil and notepad and let your mind free-wheel. Jot down the random ideas that come to you. Many of them will be rubbish, some will make no sense later (I still have a note made in similar circs which reads "Donkey!!" - it must've meant something at the time, but I can't work it our now! :D )

But amidst them you might have a few real gems that can make for good gaming. Or even a better lifestyle...

Ah well, get well soon.
