[ot] Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

The whole season is like a movie, the loss of bledsoe, the upstart Brady, the 3 psotseason wins, and also the last loss of the season from coming from the rams...

One hell of a script...

Doesn't anyone else objectively see something fishy with the incredible deluge of patriotic jingoism that has infused this Superbowl, among ALL others, with a sickening Americanism?

*grin* You, Sir, are one paranoid little monkey. But hey - maybe it'll make all those people who lost money feel better.... :D

The tinfoil hats are out, I see.

Reaper, if there had been an internationally televised media event such as the Super Bowl a mere 5 months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, I think you'd see just as much flag-waving and national pride.

(or 'sickening Americanism', as you put it)

Oh well, I guess you saw what you wanted to, and I saw what I wanted to.

Either way, I won $200---and that's all that *really* matters.

Well, that's so close to the phrase "conspiracy theory", I'll just say "I told you so". ;)

And paranoia would be based on no real evidence.
When you simply observe what is being presented and note the facts that are right there on tape....

I'd hardly say that's going very far in reaching a conclusion.
(and again, i wouldn't have bet $$ on that game if you fronted me the cash...) WAY too obvious of set-up.

Someguy - you're right.
Almost EXACTLY like the script to a movie... ;)

[theoretical] Just a general question to anyone: WHY would it be so unbelievable to you that they would tell some players to play a certain way to guarantee the outcome that 'those in power' would prefer?
We're only talking a handful of people that would ever know. [/theoretical]

A handful of people with the most colossal advances for bookdeals that we've ever heard of... ;)

(Or they'd have to be killed, but I suppose that would only further your theoretical premise.) :D
