I found the story funny. Not because of what the broom does to preteen girls but more because the toy manufacturer didn't think of it beforehand. I just pictured a bunch of toy executives sitting around saying ooppss.

Damn, what a no brainer. That's like asking why the university girls in rez would always be sitting on top of the dryers in the laundryroom while waiting for their clothes to finish.

Hehe funny . . . and it makes my odd brain think of one of the actors in the movies whose last name is Biggerstaff, Sean Biggerstaff who plays Capt. Oliver Wood. :D

I thought this might be urban legend but...

Searches in Google still show references for "Nimbus 2000" toy broom on the amazon site. It does seem to be missing from both the amazon and toysrus sites at this time.

later,
Ysgarran.

Yes, it used to be real, and you could order it. But when Amazon found out that people were putting suggestive reviews on it, they started removing a bunch of them. Guess they just took it down all together.

Silly thing, dat.

But this was brought up on another board I frequent months ago.

Apparantly, this toy was enjoyable for parents as well as kids....
