[OT] Hockey Fever: The NHL Playoffs Thread Part II

A couple of good comebacks tonight (one successful and one not), though I missed most of them once I started flipping between channels.

Wow!! I'm anxious to see the posts after everyone recovers from last night's action.

I would have never, ever believed Carolina could come back from a three goal, third period, deficit against Theodore and the Canadiens...in Montreal no less!!! Inconceivable ;)

Meanwhile, my Wings managed to hold on last night despite a furious rally on the part of Scott Mellanby and a few other guys carrying sticks. That guy has been amazing this series -- just sick! Ya gotta give credit where credit is due. Still, I'm happy to say that Detroit hold a 3-1 series edge coming back home.

The Toronto/Ottawa and San Jose/Colorado series both appear to be heading for seven games if things maintain.

It was fitting to see Pronger go out on a attempted cheap shot like he did. He was obviously trying to kill yzerman. St Louis are nothing but thugs. have been since pronger arrived and will be till' he leaves.
hate em' hate em' hate em' almost as much as i hate san jose.

Well I'm guessing the Toronto natives here are pretty stunned with tonight's outcome. I can't blame you.

I feel even worse for Habs fan. That was a game that SHOULD have been won before the 3rd...but those Darn habs had to break down! I feel sad for them as I've been rooting for the Habs ever since they upset Boston. (Course you know I'm NOT rooting for the Sens. I can't and still be a Flyers fan! :) )

Still think Colorada and Detroit for the Western Conference Finals...which will be Seven games! :) Six if one of the teams loses a guy. I feel sorry for Detroit. MAN that dump into the goalmouth for Steve Y...OUCH!!

Yeah, I was pretty mad about the ending to the Leafs game. This might be the second time in 10 years that a horrible non-call late in a crucial game destroys the chance to see a Leafs-Habs series. C'maaawwwwn! Stop cheating destiny durn it!

Reminds me of a Flyers/Devils game a few years ago where the Devs were up three or four goals going into the third. This was when the couldn't beat the Devils even if the entire team consisted of clones of Superman, so I thought to myself "this game is over, guess I'll watch the X-files." So an hour later I checked to see how bad they lost only to find out they had actually scored more goals in the third period they probably did in any other game against the Devils all season.

I'm rooting for the Sens and still consider myself a Flyers fan. Though technically it may be more rooting against the Leafs than rooting for the Sens (I'd like to see the CAR/MON winner come out of the East).

I will say this, this whole season may be the most poorly officiated in years. The number of blown calls is staggering.

It almost makes me want to switch to football...

...big cry of fustration...

The Carolina have wont battle, but not the war !!!

...big cry of frustration...

Chairman_Kaga, i'm with you on this, the referee of the NHL are a bunch or joker. They suck.

...big cry of frustration...

By the way, have you see the fabulous victory of Michael Shumacher. He is a small champion. If only a guy have the rank to say no to this kind of cheap act, it's Shumacher. He don't do it. He suck.

...big cry of frustration...

The sports are sick, very sick.

GO HABS GO !!!!!!

Well, despite the Game 5 freebie, Ottawa is still being taken to 7 games by HALF a Leafs team with a shaky goalie. If Ottawa still wins I don't think they should be bragging much.
