Congratulations. I'm glad to hear such happy news as I've heard that it is very difficult to obtain a transplant organ. I hope that everyone that can makes the effort to join the organ donor program with your driver's license.

Yup. There's usually 200 or so people on the liver transplant list in Canada. Only 60 or 70 livers a year are suitable for transplant. You do the math. Jeff was running out of time. We were very lucky.

Jeff had all but one of his tubes taken out today. Just the IV is left. He's able to get in and out of bed on his own, sit up and the nurses have started him walking in the halls. They also let him take a shower today.

Holy Bovine should be back home by next weekend.

Good Lord. I had no clue. I am very glad to hear it's gone well! Tell 'im I'll offer a Deity-Oriented Moo in his favor very soon! :)

Thanks again, Madriel!

Guess now we know how close we came to wound points and vitality points in 3.5.

Oh. This is really just a bump with lame humor. :)

Well, make sure he parks his butt in front of the computer when he gets home to say hi. :)

I'm printing the messages off to take up to him tomorrow. He's coming home Friday so sometime next weekend he ought to be well enough to send his thanks personally.

The good news keeps on coming. They've started Jeff on full fluids - clear soups, jello, juice, etc. They may let him have solid food as early as tomorrow. The physiotherapy is using up most of his stamina right now, but he's making great progress. He even kicked my butt playing Scrabble this afternoon.

We've had to pass on GenCon the last three years because of Jeff's health, so I think we'll celebrate by going next year. GenCon sounds like a great honeymoon for a pair of gamers, right?

I couldn't think of anything better for you two. Glad to hear he's doing okay. :D
