hearth, health, and happiness i own a house. i have the mental and physical capacity to get around. i have a beautiful wife.

good family, friends, and food i have a loving family. many friends. and the chance to eat 3 squares a day.

a great job, hobby, and activities i'm gainfully employed by the feds. i have a hobby i enjoy. and i have many activities to keep me fit, mentally and physically.

...A great hobby, and by extension, these boards! (What other hobby can you buy a product, and get tips on its use from its designer on a regular basis???)

1. Incredible Wife and best friend (also, gaming buddy).

2. Several fantastic RPG groups. Never a dull moment.

3. Green Stuff.

4. Huggy Bear.

5. D20 (Goodbye, learning curve!)

6. The 21st century. Computers, medicine, less ignorance all around...

7. The giant robots.

8. Massachusetts. I've lived all over the US. I love New England. (and I get to go to Boston game Days, yay!)

9. Writers, artists and sculptors all over the world who have fired up my imagination time and again.

10. ENworld, which actually helped me get to #2, #8, and someday...#7.

5. The DSL connection I just got last week, which has shown me how really sucky I am at Unreal Tournament 2003.

6. The fact that my daughter sleeps 12 hours a night, and has for over 4 months now.

7. I'm still gainfully employed, even though my employer has laid off over 21,000 people since October '01.

8. I have a great group of players whom I can torture every other week or so.

9. My beautiful house.

10. Generally being debt free, and being able to buy things that I want.

I'm thankful for...

Friends, family, my gaming buddies, etc. All the standards. But most of all...

I was laid off several weeks ago. Lately I've been schvitzing over whether or not I was gonna find a new job before the severance/unemployment combo ran out and made life very difficult.

Yesterday, I was made an offer and I accepted the job. I start on Monday. Today is the first day in seven weeks that I haven't woken up nervous about my financial situation.

For me its my newfound love. Its my good friends driving across Texas to have dinner with me tomorrow. Its finding new friends in a place I thought I would hate. Its having meaningful relationships with my family, friends, and lately my faith.
