[OT] Insomniac conversation... come in and grab some coffee

Requiem for a God's one of Monte's books. I like it, but I'm not sure I'll get to use it. It's interesting at any rate.

3:30 here... I'll be going to bed in another hour or so. I just blew a couple of hours looking at www.neopets.com

I don't know why I did that... I'm feeling kinda restless now. I may go read for a bit. I always feel like I should be working but at some point I just need to take a break for an hour or so.

Hello people, it's 3:40am here in stupid St. Louis. Only two weeks before I get to go home to Chicago for winter break. My personal suggestion for getting back on a normal sleep schedule: Tylenol PM. Just don't take it more than once in a good while.

Actually, I normally go to bed at 4am, and wake up at noon. None of my classes start until 1pm. Next semester I've got a 10am class, and I don't know how I'll deal. I suppose I'll have to though, it'll be my last.

What I should be doing is either a) working on law school apps, or b) checking in on my play-by-post games...but I dunno. I've just been so bored with just about everything lately I just can't stand it.

At least I'll be playing some Spycraft this weekend. My best friend since 7th grade has never ran anything before, but his Spycraft campaign so far kicks ass.

4:49 here...

4:49 here...

Just up checking e-mail... Got "not-sleepy" all of a sudden and decided to browse...

What are you reviewing?

Larry King-style random thought: Of all the great conversations in your life, how many of them have taken place in kitchens? The more I think about it, the more I come to realize this one pointless, stupid thing. The best conversations happen in kitchens.

You know what ? I think you're right... A lot of the great conversations in my life happened in kitchens too...

Two possible explanations : a lot of the great conversations happen during parties but somewhat on the side. The kitchen is usually a quiet location where you can talk without shouting and nibble at the same time !

As a corollary to that, great conversations usually happen around 2-3 AM, and that's when most great conversationalists feel a little tug in their stomach that says : it's time to try that great Vacherin cheese I spotted in the fridge earlier...

As for trying not to fall asleep, I AM trying not to fall asleep, but it is 10:55 here in Paris. It's just that work (or pretending to) can soooo put you to sleep ;)

Late night kitchen chats have been a staple in my life as well. :)

Odd that the boards went down, eh?

I've always found midnight chats on the back balcony or deck are more commong, but then most of my friends are smokers who don't like smoking indoors.

only 8 PM here in aus, but I guarentee you I'll still be up at 4 :)

Past 5 here, and getting kinda groggy, though I've downed four cups of coffee. Putting Dusk till Dawn through the VCR... haven't watched this one in a while.

That's a funny thing about being unemployed. You watch almost all of your movies. I've been burning through them for the last month like candy.

On the D till D point, I'd just like to mention that I can't explain why I think Dusk till Dawn 3: the Hangman's Daughter is good enough to own, yet I think number 2 is... well... number 2.
