When they first started talking about doing this trailer, the plan was supposedly to make this a "theater-only" thing. This particular trailer was to be shown only in theaters, not on the internet, not on any DVD, not on TV. Whether that still is the plan, I couldn't tell you. But considering that, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to show up anywhere else.
The theater I saw it in was pretty full for a movie that's been out for three months. I'd guess 60% of the audience knew about the trailer, and didn't get out of their seats when the film ended. A lot of people stopped about halfway out the door, and stayed to watch. I bet it hits the top 10 again, solidly. It's been #11 or #12 for some time now, but I'd lay even money it goes back up to #4 or so. This probably will push it over Harry Potter in terms of money made, at least in the US. HP still has a big lead worldwide ($132 Mill more overseas). Right now it's the #6 grossing film of all-time, worldwide, #11 in the US. Potter is #2 for reference (#7 US), Titanic is #1 by almost $900 million (by $140 mill in the US)!
It's playing two places by me; the Lombard theater (where Wulf mentioned, 3 showings a day) and the IMAX theater in Addison (8pm only showing).
