Duncan would have really owned them if he had made like 3 more FTs but he didn't, or?
As it is Tim and Dirk are mostly similar with 40/38 pts and 15 boards both. Sure, Tim was overall better (more assists, less TO, better FG%.. anything but the FTs), but his missed FTs lost them the game - FTs are his weakness. (and possibly the series bu we will see)
The better team (this night!) won - the better crunch time team to be excact. No other team can come back as the Mavs.
The first 3 quarters seldom win a game, it's the 4th quarter that counts (and especially the crunch time): 30 - 19 for the Mavs in the 4th quarter. That was the difference - the Spurs played good until the 4th quarter, but that's the time that counts most.
But as I said before, this will be a 7 games series and that means more fun to watch for all of us. And it will be really close.
