[OT, rant] Losing Cable Modem

If I don't get any new work in the next day or two, I have to cancel the cable modem per my agreement with the wife. What's even worse is then we have to use her university account dial-up which bites big ones. Only ten hours a week of "prime time" usage! Plus it ties up the phone line! Not to mention slow and quirky.

Sigh...it's tough to get work here in Idaho.

If there's anybody out there independently wealthy, I am open to being adopted.

i got a roommate that is expected to be able to work from home on the weekends so his job pays for the Cable modem. I feel for you, though. The modem went out last week and i went cold turkey instead of using a dial up.
