[OT-slightly] NOVA, "Dirty Bomb"

First Post
I watched a NOVA episode tonight title "Dirty Bomb", which tries to explain the hazard associated with such a device. I am curious if anyone else saw this show.

If you did, what was the impression you walked away from it? I am a radiation protection professional and am curious how people received the information from the show.

If this is not a good place for this, please feel free to email me.

I wish I had posted yesterday when I saw it, since you always beat me to the punch now on Enterprise threads. I think the impression they were trying to get across is that most of what can be done, is being done, but in the end only so much can be done. Kind of a call to staying alert but not to the point of panic, even as they were being (very) informative. Good show. :)

Although the show had some moderate technical errors and some of the details in their "simulations" were very suspect, I thought the show ended with the right message.

A dirty bomb will primarily cause fear and anxiety rather than vast health effects, and the only way to combat that is through education.

I saw a few minutes of it, mostly during commercial breaks during Buffy :)

I thought it seemed to be fairly reasonable and non-alarmist about the results of a dirty bomb.
