I don't care if your a democrat, republican, libertarian, independent, green, or whatever!

Get out there and vote people. By voting, at least you did try to affect change. Or keep the status quo if your somewhat happy with it.

Voting is an important part of being an American.

I've done my civic duty and hit the voting booth. Please do yours.

Thanks,

doesn't it suck when someone else makes your decisions for you?

you wouldn't let a stranger pack your lunch, don't let them pick your representatives!

You beat me to it :)

This election is important, people. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain. :)

Stop reading the boards, put on some pants, and VOTE!!!

They give you a free sticker ;)

Couldn't Agree More!

Yes, everyone should get out and vote. I did so at 7am this morning, and I must admit, the polls at my local polling station here in Henrico were much busier than they have been for the last 2 presidential elections and the last gubernatorial election. I think the bleak budget outlook coupled with the Bond Issues on the Ballot are going to bring people out here, which is good because you have no room to complain if you don't vote.

oops I got the order backwards, no wonder the little old ladies looked at me funny :D .

And remember if you don't know much about a particular canidate, just write-in yourself!

That is what the "I voted" sticker is for :D

I voted and even though I am not thrilled by any of the canidates I refuse to let someone else make a decison when I have a small influence on the decison-----so GO VOTE!!!

Let me cast the dissenting vote.

Yes you should go out and vote if you have kept up on the issues and are informed. However if you have no clue about the issues and are just going to knee-jerk you vote, you might as well stay home. Ignorant voters are not a help.

I will go vote today, and I encourage conscientious citizens to do so.

I'm not taking a side on an issue, so I hope this doesn't violate the rule on political discussions...

It really gets to me when people say they don't have time to vote or they don't know anything about the elections so they don't want to vote. That's crap!

Thousands of people fought and died all around the world to keep their countries free. Not only in the US, but in nearly every country. To say you don't have 10 - 20 minutes to exercise the right those people provided you is foolish and disrespectful.

Even if you don't think you know anything about the candidates, you should still go. Cast a write-in vote for Cthulhu or Snoopy. Cast a write-in vote for yourself. Many places have yes/no votes on people running unopposed to just keep their jobs ( like judges, here in Illinois ), at least vote for or against them. Show up an vote. No matter how big they get, every politician knows that the voters are the people they have to answer to at the next election.

Just think about the people who can't vote. There are still places in the world where the populace have no right to determine their governments' power. When my grandma was born, her mother didn't even have the right to vote here in the US.

Rights are like muscles--exercise them or they get weak.

Yep, I voted today. I always vote NO on folks trying to keep their jobs, just on principle. (Especially judges. )

If you are green, I suggest you go see a doctor right after you vote.

BTW, they tax you a percentage of your income for a reason. Vote NO to ALL referendums :)
