My kinda man! :D

I'll have less of that thank-you very much....

I would like to point out that I when my wife puts on Barbra Streisand I feel the desire to leave the room, and although I do enjoy the musicals I take my wife to on her birthday, I do not make a habit of going to them.

Okay I will admit when I bought my wife the Sound of Music I wanted it as well.

Oh, did I mention I'm married. :D

Blind Guardian, "And Then There Was Silence..."
It's a 13-14 minute song about the Iliad. Oh how I love the Iliad. And oh how I love Blind Guardian.

Hammerfall, "Glory to the Brave"
A Viking-esque funeral hymn. Probably still the best metal ballad I've ever heard.

Iced Earth, "Holy Martyr" Being a Catholic fellow that thinks that Christian music blows and prefers heavy metal songs about satan (based on musical issues, not content) it was nice for a darker band to throw us Christian folks a bone on how to make good music- also see Oh My Jerusalem, Sadly Sings Destiny, and Another Holy War, all by Blind Guardian

Iced Earth, the Something Wicked Trilogy I need to run a d20 Modern or Cthulhu style game based on this some time

Wow, someone else whose heard of Blind Guardian, Iced Earth and Hammerfall!

ALL HAIL THE GOD'S OF METAL!

Previous favorites:

Almost anything else by Blind Guardian. With the exception of "Black Chamber" I don't think I've heard anything that I don't like by them.

"Mirror, Mirror" off Nightfall in Middle Earth is an amazing song. Amazing album matter of fact. I don't normally like pompus power metal about fantasy stuff but this album kicks my butt everytime! The drums are amazing.

Astronomy by Blue Oyster Cult, check it out, you'll love it!

After that, Master of Puppets (Metallica), and Another One Bites the Dust (Queen)

I prefer Astronomy by Metallica. :D

In fact..... anything by Metallica.

Apacolyptica released a few CDs that where comprised of all Metallica songs did with only chellos. Their version of "Nothing Else Matters" was my wife and I's wedding song.

Same to be here. (Has S&M playing in the background) I can't wait for St. Anger. Should be a good album.

Yep. I do hope they drop some of that blues influence now that Jason is gone. The blues are well and good, but 'tallica doesn't need it.

(See Load and Reload for what I'm talking about.)
