[OT] Where da heck is Talon?

I've been trying to email him, but I'm not getting any replies. I've been waiting over two weeks for a shipment to get to me, and I just want to have it tracked, if possible.

I've been in contact with him in the last couple of days. He told me he'd been having some computer trouble, which slowed down his ability to access his Email, which in turn slowed his shipping schedule up. I believe he should have computer access again quite soon and will likely be here to answer more directly at that time. I don't think that he's lost any orders but it may be that it got out of his doors later than usual.

Hope that helps a bit, on the knowing what's going on end of it, anyway... :)
 

speaking as someone who placed my first order with talon two days ago, it would have been nice to know before sending money that it's not operational. it's just luck that this thread happened to come up. but i'm still pretty irritated that the guy can't find his way to a library or a kinko's to get the orders or at least put a notice on the web page the he's not currently accepting orders because of technical difficulties. i'm not a fan of sending money and not hearing back. reaffirms my blind allegiance to the local stores.
 

I've been waiting over 3 weeks now for an order, but Derek e-mailed me yesterday and told me about the computer problems, and that he'd be shipping my order out this week. It's torture, waiting all this time for books I expecting in just a few days... But hopefully Derek's computer problems are over.

oh the irony.

I too placed and order, about a week ago, also my first.
Fortunately, Derek, was able to respond to my inquiry and explain the situation (computer problems as has been pointed out).

Hopefully all is well over there, and we will see more of him again soon.
 

My problem is, my shipment supposedly shipped late April. It's been two weeks since he told me it should have been shipped. So, I'm worried the post office completely screwed up. I want to see if it can be tracked.
 

If it is something like that, it might be a good idea to use the phone number on his website (and some 10-10-220 type cheap rate to call) to make sure all is well. *shrug*

Otherwise, maybe wait another day or two and see if he's got it all cleared up. :)
