I'm 30, live in Oklahoma, and I currently don't have a job that pays. Which I don't have much of a problem with, since I'm incredibly lazy, have authority issues, and enjoy hanging out and taking care of the kids. For fun, I game weekly, work on gaming stuff during the week and am slowly working on breaking into writing RPG material professionally (I have some powers in the new Powers Unlimited from an older Rifter, and had an article in d20 Weekly a couple weeks before it shut down). I work on the computer, and hang out with my kids, watch wrestling. Nothing particularly interesting. . .not working on any degrees (I leave those for my woman, besides, authority issues again), on a continual search for a job that will pay me to do the things I already do. . .no luck yet :D

I despise even more the practice of using more than one exclamation mark at the end of a sentence, and firmly believe that such people should be shot.
Yeah, but it's all worth it to see people do this occasionally!!!!!!1111!!!
As for cars, my dream car is a silver Aston Martin Vanquish. I wouldn't be seen dead in a Ferarri or a Lamborghini. Like I'd ever have the choice....
If I ever did have a choice, it'd be a tough one between the AM Vanquish and the Bentley Continental GT. Both have a sense of style that the Italian exoticars definately lack.

You do realize that Aston Martin is releasing a new model here soon, right? A "discount" model? :D Saw one at the North American Auto Show -- brilliant piece of machinery.

I'm 32, and work Tech Support / I.T. in Manufacturing. My wife and I have been together 10 years next year (YEAH!) and have made it through some really nasty financial times, to the point where we're no longer no longer making monthly Diplomacy checks to keep the lights on and the water running.

We have no children, thank God, and own eight dogs, and a cat. Yes, Eight. Yes, we are the Crazy Animal People on the block. :) But they also make great alarm systems. :D

D&D, Chemistry, and Computer Technology have been passions for me for 2/3rds of my life (although the love affair with Chemistry died out when Physical Chemistry entered the picture - I had a mad scientist for Organic Chemistry, and had a great love of that subject for most of my college years). I entered Software working dead-end jobs in retail software outlets, and graduated to mom-and-pop computer work, and ultimately to what I do now, once I got some M4d l33t zkillz and a certificate or two under my belt.

I've played D&D since 1981, and have loved every incarnation. Hopefully, I'll continue to play D&D until the nursing home attendants put d20's on my eyes, and cover me with a sheet. :)

33, married, potter/sculptor. i sit on the board of the local library, i am technical director of the local theater, i volunteer with battered women and taking folks to the doctor as well as in the various schools in the county. i invented an artificial litho stone, a reusable pinata and a landmine removal device :)

we have 4 dogs and 7 cats, and an obsessively maintained koi pond. i also work at constantly landscaping and relandscaping pur acreage.

i have been playing d+d since '79, with several drought times.

34, artist/illustrator. I have traveled extensively overseas, teaching English and selling artwork. Spent two years in Sumatra teaching English, where I was a Colonel Kurtz-like figure (as in Apocalypse Now) and people in a small village actually believed I was a vampire. I have been a warranty claims administrator at a Ford dealership, college student (BS in Communication Arts) as well as a batch of other jobs (Airborne Express courier, etc).
I am active in my area as a proponent for racial equality and diversity, although I am not politically correct (I have black friends from Africa, so how can they be called African-Americans?). I am fairly antisocial towards most people, although I have many strong friendships with a lot of people, mostly from overseas. After my stint in Indonesia, I have many adjustment problems still being back in the US, but I am getting there. I go to an Indian sweat lodge whenever I can (growth through extreme pain) and get out into the woods as often as possible within reason.

Know Your Toe

30, Sales. I enjoy people, and spending time with people. I believe that is where my love of all games comes from. There is nothing better than sitting around with friends and sharing stories and good times while at the gaming table. I have played RPGs since I was in fifth grade, but did not really play D&D until I was in the army. I hated second edition, but really like third edition (and 3.5). I also love to camp and backpack.

I am happily married and just celebrated my 7-year anniversary on July 6th. BTW never forget to give a card on your anniversary, even if you take an extravagant trip for the occasion a week before. Always remember flowers and a card. I have little wisdom to share, but that do know.

Even though I love people, I also need lots of time to my self where I like to read and paint. As I get older I find that time seems less important, but I still need it. During my time in the Military I spend 3 years in Germany where I was able to travel all over Central Europe and spent some time in the Middle East.

My dream car would be some two-seater convertible with a small back seat for my dogs. Just a car for weekend drives under the summer sun. The kind of car you can close your eyes, feel the warm sun on your face and let your dreams and imagination run wild.

30, married. I'm a programmer/systems analyst at a telecommunications company (one of the big 3), and totally hate it. We recently got a new manager, and she told us that our only job was to make her look good, so I'm trying to get out, but in this market, that ain't so easy. And most jobs nowadays are looking for java folks, which I don't do, so I'm sitting here at work, listening to Philip Glass, reading a Java book, and posting on ENWorld. It's a living.

My wife is a non-gamer, but she does travel with me to my bi-weekly game to chat with my friend's wife - since we play at their house. We just recently had a daughter, Erin Nicole. Today my wife called and told me that she started sucking her thumb. She's 11-weeks old tomorrow.

Before child (back when I had lots of spare time), I played computer games, and worked on D&D stuff. I'm currently working on a D&D campaign that I'll run once our current game ends. I'm playing a human female rog1/sor8 currently.

Aside from that, I've got a stupid-impressive collection of Classical music (with an emphasis on modern works) of over 400 CDs. I've even composed some classical music, but mostly never finished any of it (hey, symphonies are long, you try writing one!) My name "Die kluge" is the name of a modern German opera by Carl Orff (Carmina Burana fame).

Other than that, D&D is pretty much where I focus all my free time, since I'm trying to put as much detail and work into the game that I'll be running. It will be a high-level game (starting at 9th, finishing at 20th+) so I'm excited about it, since I've never ran such a high level game before.

When I was in Argentina, a lot of people were convinced I was a CIA agent for some reason. But I didn't get the vampire thing going -- that's even better! :D

36 today - July 16th

High School History Teacher and Track and Football Coach.

Practiced law for about five years before going back to school and becoming an educator. Still maintain the law license. I love teaching!

Married 7 years as of this past Monday. Two great kids with a third on the way this Fall.

Hobbies besides gaming and miniatures: Fishing - just bought a pontoon boat for the lake we live on. Weight Lifting - not as religious about it as I used to be. Classical Music - over 700 CDs - huge Brahms fan.

Played Football and threw shot put in college.

Vanity published a miniatures game and now am involved in BadAxe games - mostly as a legal consultant.

I used to bounce a lot in my younger days and worked security for part of Bowie's last American tour among other gigs.

Working on a doctorate in the education field.

I seem to get less and less judgmental in my old age. I'm not necessarily a nice guy yet, but I'm working my way there. As a good friend said, "You're a recovering attorney after all."

edit: punctuation.
