(OT) Wrestling

Hi all! :)

The best thing in the past three months has been Jerichos heel turn, without that I may have stopped watching. This new persona of Jericho is far more entertaining. The 'Arrogant Pin' is certainly a favourite. :D

Triple Hs return (no not you mate! :) ) sparked some interest too, but they didn't really seem to make the most of it. I suppose the face turn was inevitable given the hype. Triple H is good enough to work either way though.

Kurt Angle and the Rock have been the most solid performers of late.

As for Stone Cold, I enjoy the "What!?" skits - when they're done right.

The NWO story started well enough though I agree with a comment made on a wrestling website; why 'wussify' the new main heels days after you show how 'badass' they are - it doesn't make much sense (having them running away from Stone Cold).

As for The Rock vs. Hogan; it should be an interesting encounter - though maybe not a great match. Either way I suppose we will see at Wrestlemania.

I cant wait for Wrestlmania. It will show exactly what will happen to the WWF. I hope it turns out good but...who knows:(

By the way I found Raw to be extremely boring. I really cant wait for the split and if they actually DO have a cruiserweight divisin:)

Hi Triple H mate! :)

What more can you tell us about your website!? (I know its not up and running yet, but that you have been wanting to do one for ages)

I read they may be bringing in Ray Mysterio Jnr. to kickstart the flagging cruiserweight division.

It also seems likely that Big Poppa could return at anytime - though I suspect they will 'save him' until the NWO angle has run its course or starts to deflate (which some would say is happening already! ;) )

I also read Michinoku Pro is going to television in the states (?) does that mean people will get to see you in action mate!

Take care and say konnichi wa to Japan for me! :)

Well Scott Steiner did show up at the WWA PPV. Didnt do a whole lot but did show up. Seems to still ahve a lot of nerve damamge in his foot.

Another thing, yes Michinoku pro is goig to TV in the states with ideas for PPV as well, but most of us relative newcomers are still pretty much going in as Dark Matches. Hopefuly one day I too will be able to hold back young stars adn be main eventing 5 years longer then I should. Though Hogan is bordering 12 years more then he should:)

Hello Triple H mate! :)

Well who is excited about Wrestlemania!!!

I AM!

I am going to read the Smark Raw rant shortly (after I get my dinner) but I'll post again here later with my thoughts on the current situation! ;)

Hi all!

I finally read the Raw Rant. I like Scott Keiths style in general. He doesn't paint a very good picture of the run up to Wrestlemania though.

Personally I don't think things have been well handled of late. Every single angle seems to be tackled half-heartedly. Though the NWO started well enough, enthusiasm does now seem to be lacking.

It was a bit disappointing that Nash won't be wrestling at Wrestlemania (not that hes a great wrestler but simply that the others get to perform so why not him). I would have thought he could have faced off against Edge; thereby supporting a push for Edge nearer to the top echelon. They could have called it "The natural blonde bond match" and tied their hair together. :D

Anyway, I have noticed a trend of late in the television shows. The matches are getting shorter and shorter and the sketches are getting longer and longer. Almost certainly to the detriment of the shows unfortunately. Especially when a lot of the sketches don't work. Most of the matches now have longer entrance introductions than actual wrestling time!

Incidently a friend of mine bought an X-box with the WWF game (I don't know the exact name of it) I have to say it was quite fun seeing Trish Stratus beat up the Big Show. :D

I hope Chris Jericho beats Triple H on sunday (sorry mate)!

I hope the Rock beats Hogan!

I sincerely doubt Stone Cold will lose to Scott Hall!

Are there any other matches other than those three! :D

I too have noticed that the intros and the sketches are getting longer and longer, this is NOT a good thing. Strangely enough I watch wrestling for the wrestling.
I'm looking forward to wrestlemania, but I cannot watch it, hopefully somebody will do a good recap:D .

My Wrestlemania picks:
I hope Triple H wins his match
The Rock to beat Hogan
Stone Cold to beat Hall
Kane beats Angle (badly, I like Angle but am tired of Kane getting beat all the time)
I would like either Trish or Lita (prefer Lita) to win the womans title, not a fan of Jazz.
I hope the APA wins the Tag titles.
I hope DDP creams Christian
Regal should beat RVD (he, RVD, is very annoying)
Edge over Booker T but barely
Not sure on the Taker/Flair match, but like Taker better.

I think that's all the matches.
