Decent. It keeped me guessing for 2/3rds the way, but I did manage to think of Agt. Spender before he was mentioned by name. I like that they've tied up a few loose ends in recent weeks. I'm still a little bummed about the Lone Gunmen being offed last week, but between the X-Files, Lexx and Farscape, I'm getting used to TV characters buying the farm this month....

*Poof!* Scully's kid is instantly de-alienized?! Whatever!

My wife thought it was Mulder the whole time, I just kept telling her "nope"... then "I told ya so"

And as for Dogget's kid in the next episode... who gives a rat's a$$!

I give a rat's a$$. Dogget and Reyes were supposed to be the new main characters, but somewhere along the way they decided to keep Scully and end the show instead. This was built up as one of the focul points of his character and I'm glad that they aren't leaving us hanging.

I thought it out of character that Scully would decide to give up her son after everything she's done for him. Why is it that a few scary but obvious words from Spender managed to convince her to give up on her dream of motherhood? And how does this make William more safe just because he's adopted out? More likely whatever branch of the government that wants to capture/study/kill him will have an even easier time doing it now that he's in the hands of people that don't even have a beginning of a clue.

I wasn't surprised by the DNA tests, but I never once believed that the burned man was Mulder. I was shocked that it turned out to be Spender. Also now we have confirmation of sorts that Mulder is CSM's son.

Overall, I'm looking forward to the return of Mulder and hoping that the final episode isn't a cop out. To date my favorite episode is still the season finale for season 3.

I didn't believe the burned man was mulder either. I was also surprised Scully would give up her dream of motherhood so easily. And I dont think that whatever SPender injected William with is to get rid of the alien thing inside him. I think it was supposed to be a marker of sorts..a homing beacon. The other thing i was disappointed with was that Spender was even alive. I thought he was shot at point blank in the head? My first reaction was that the burned man was Krycek back for revenge...

It was evasive, annoying crap as with 99% of x-files episodes in the last 5 years. Once again it says nothing about nothing and tries to be cool about it. I'd say I was looking forward to this show finally ending but I imagine Chris Carter will lay it on extra thick at the end rather than giving any sort of answers.

Krycek's dead! He's got to be, please. That guy took so much punishment it's not even funny (well, maybe a little). There's no way he could still be alive. Right?

up to about two seasons ago I had been watching & taping X-files religously but after tyhat I gave up on the series, Just stopped being watchable to me.

Instead of ending the series with a bang they milked the cash cow dry:(

count me in the "stopped caring long ago" category. i will watch the final episode, though. kind of like paying respects to a nasty relative. you may not relish the thought, but out of respect, you gotta do it.
