Bass Fishing is one of my passions. I fish pretty much every day.

I coach football and track & field and so I spend a fair amount of time in the weightroom - so I lift weights.

I teach history, which is a great excuse to read a ton of history.

I enjoy drawing. I'm not particularly talented at it, but I keep trying.

I paint miniatures and make scenery - pretty much gaming related stuff.

I sculpt, usually green stuff for game related projects, but lately I have been branching out. I really want to create a bunch of stepping stone molds.

I wirte, much of it is game related, but I do submit my fair share of history and education articles to journals.

I play Bridge passably well.

I entertain my three young children. The two older ones often go out on the boat with me. My oldest boy (4) loves to fish too.

Other than RPGs?

*Boggles at the concept.*

Well, I paint miniatures. Hang around here and on IRC. Read a lot. And... umm, that's pretty much it.

No, I really don't have a "life" as other people perceive it. I often start with three, though.

Mmmm.

I write a lot.

I don't read nearly as much as I used to.

I don't practice Japanese swordsmanship nearly as much as I used to.

I'm much better at designing software than I used to be.

I cook Thai and Mexican food with considerable panache.

I drink as much as I can -- which isn't nearly as much as I used to.

I make movies. And watch lots of them. Over and over, usually. Not just the good ones, either.

I take over the world.

Oh, and I don't smoke as much as I used to.

And if you ever quit smoking, you'll know that "not smoking" is an activity all its own.

"What'd you do today?"

"Well, I didn't smoke for a while, then I had lunch, and then I spent the afternoon not smoking..."

Hmm...

Learning few things at college, mostly technical terms for psychological and philosophical concepts I had already concieved of. :\

When I'm not at school, I'm getting paid to either tear rich people's houses apart, put them together, spiffy them up, or a combination of all three. :]

I don't read nearly as much as I used to, but I do a lot of mental designing of cultures, languages, races/specie, deities, religions, military tactics, geography, scientific approaches, and so on for a setting to use in a series of novels destined to be either hailed as fully awesome, just ok, or completely ignored but still there so in a few centuries someone will pick up a few moth-eaten copies and use them as the basis for a movie which I will never see until someone develops a service that allows for living-dead communication. :(

Playing video games, but not so much as I used to. The habit is starting to wear down. Now it's only a time-consuming interest. :p

Occasionally watching TV, movies, anime, etc.

When occasionally hanging out with friends (DAMN YOU, CONFLICTING SCHEDULES!!!), listening to my female friends tell me that I'm hot and sensitive while clinging to their boyfriends who give me mock-I want you dead! stares before they return to making out. Messes with your psyche something awful, let me tell you... :uhoh:

Perusing the ENWorld boards. :)

Gaming very rarely, at which time 5% of the time is spent gaming, the rest listing to everyone else bull:):):):) about stupid stuff, looking at the group artist's drawings in progress while drinking sub-par iced tea and eating some pizza, the occasional interesting remark, and giving blank stares at the DM's self-pleasing 'humor'. :(

Wish I could list spending time with girlfriend, but I'm working on that ... ;)

And the rest of the time is spent planning to take the psychological world by storm with my undeniably awesome new ideas and approaches therefore getting paid just to think and say something now and again so I can spend my time with my wife and daughters. I don't want boys. If I want to pass on the family name, I'll adopt a 20-year old guy with his own appartment.

That is so true ! I also spend a lot of time not smoking. (unfortunately (well also fortunately) I met a girl who I really like who happens to smoke..damn !!).

Ok so besides RPG's I like: dancing, music (playing guitar in particular), partying, reading, occasionally computer games, studying, hanging out with this girl I met who happens to smoke, and watching assorted TV programs. Oh and soccer.

re

Weightlift/Exercise
Play Basketball
Surf the net
Write (mostly action and fantasy stories...I spend alot of time developing stories piecemeal)
Read
Play card games (Mostly while I'm at work since I have a cake job)

I look back over the years at all the ways I used to spend my time. So much variety of things. Amazing.

Nowadays, most of my time is spent in the following ways (aside from D&D):

I'm getting my Masters of Information Systems from an online university
I play clarinet in a community band
I just got through painting our bathroom. Next project - finish the basement.
I'm addicted to downloading crap off bearshare. I just downloaded the Star Wars Clone Wars videos.
I play spider solitaire, hearts, and some minesweeper.
I'm currently trying to beat Unreal Tournament 2002 on "experienced".
Playing with my daughter, and my dog.

On another note - Cthulhu's Librarian - I don't know many guys in their 30s that freely admit to being Lego junkies. I have a ton of Legos at my parents house, and I keep forgetting to get them all whenever I go down for a visit. I'm going down in July, so I'm going to try to remember to bring them back with me when I do.

Idle hobbies include Computer Gaming, Cooking, History Research, and Computer Technology, with a little Politics on the side. :)
