Our GM Needs Help

We're running an all Gestalt class game were all about 6th Lv and we are still getting our buts handed to us. Here's our set up of the Gestalt 6th Lv players all human.

Lurk/Soulkinfe
Dragoon/Dragon Deciple
Cleric /Paladin

What total CR critters do you suggest our DM use on use to keep it form being a masacre on either side and let all the out come be on the dice roll rather than the stats of both Players or crittres.

Here is roughly where your party is in terms of character power.

1. Two weak classes gestated together. The result is not more than the sum of its parts. Soulknife does virtually nothing for the lurk other than save it some money on weapons.

2. I am a not entirely sure how you got Dragon Disciple as a base class, nor whose Dragooclass you are using. Still, doesn't sound like an especially strong melée character.

3. Cleric is a pretty powerful class (he kills monsters and doesn't afraid of anyone), but there is very little reason to gestalt with Paladin unless you really want a mount. In addition, if you play a cleric poorly (say, as a healbot) he can easily become crap.

In conclusion, probably CR 7? How would your party handle being attacked by an 8 headed hydra? What is the DPS of each character?
