How hard could it be just to talk to her? After all he picked up that elf princess easy enough in last night's game session....

Unfortunately for him Greg, his party's token powergamer saw the wole exchange. Greg grabed his black velvet dice bag (it was never far from his side!) and darted out of his cubicle towards Conference room B!

"You know," said our hero, "I was just thinking - what if magic were real? You know, like in Urban Arcana? What would I do with it?"

"I know what I'd do first if I could cast spells," replied Stephanie under her breath, glancing back at their four bosses who were now busy micromanaging some other poor sap.

With a baleful look, full of determination, Stephanie makes a gesture, then another and they flow into a grand orchestra of movements while words neither had ever heard issue forth from her.

A look of utter shock and surpise is on both of their faces as the leader of the four bosses looks suddenly at Stephanie and walks over to her.

Hesitation melts away to amazement as he asks, "What can I do to help you Stephanie?"

The charm person had worked for real!

"Gee, Harold. I think I'd really like that raise I should have got six months ago. And while you're at it, why don't you run to Starbucks and pick me up a double skim latte."

As Harold ran for the door with a silly look on his face, Stephanie turned to our hero and smiled. "Now it's your turn!"

Greg's mouth dropped in amazement as his dice spilled to the floor, and our hero saw a chance to make a break for it with Stephanie.
