Lower body today. I’m of the way that u have to extensively warm up and roll my legs and glutes. Hard foam for the legs and a baseball for the glutes. It lead to a great workout and I’m exhausted.
I can’t imagine functioning without a foam roller. It’s been game changer in terms of all around quality of life.

This heat wave has been death to my motivation, and I was up late both nights over the weekend, so I have not made it back to the gym since the 18th. Which feels crappy.

OTOH I have been willing myself to continue the daily PT exercises regardless; I think I skipped one day after being up until 3am Saturday night. So that at least makes me feel a little less like a lazy jerk. Going to try to make myself go for a quick session tonight. Cross your fingers for me!

Back.

Moved lat pull down to more the beginning and went 8 reps, much better.

That snowballed into everything being pretty good, with the lats really feeling it.

High point is the rear delt fly no longer feels like its ripping, so we are on the rebuild.

I'm a recreational runner training for a marathon in August. While I'm not the fastest I've ever been, the volume of endurance running I'm doing at the moment is far higher than what I've done before.

I run Tue/Wed/Thu with distances from 5 - 11km at the moment. Sunday runs are the long runs with 24km being the next high watermark. This week is a deload week where I'll only do 16km on Sunday. Which is a good thing as ChaosiumCon AU is on.

Back in May I ran a half marathon in 2:04, I have another one in a few weeks where sub 2 hours would be nice, but I'm not going to push myself to injury and miss the marathon.

Once I'm done with the marathon the next goal is a sub 20 minute 5k. I'm at about 26 minutes at the moment so lots of room for improvement.

I did manage to get back in last night. Dumbbell bench, dumbbell behind-the-head skull crushers, dumbbell seated inclined curls, and dumbbell lateral raises, three sets of each plus a few drop sets to extend them.

It felt good to get back, and the temperature seems to have broken a bit today, so I'm very tempted to head back tonight to do some back and maybe more shoulders.

Did my PT exercises this morning, and I have what will probably be my last PT session of this course after work today, too.
