Out of Print games You Miss...

It so is. Bill Slaviscek was a Torg designer as well, iirc.
The boxed set has him share credit for "Mythos and System Development" with Douglas Kaufman, and credits him with "Adventure Book Design" and "World Book Development and Editing."

Actually, his involvment was what got me interested in Alternity in the first place, seeing as it got the game a mention on the TORG mailing list back in the day.

Mind you, it's hard to miss oop games, there's not much you can't buy on ebay for a reasonable price.

Except I don't get called a smelly retroactive hippy obsessed with the 'golden era' when I suggest playing 4e ;) oop = old skool IME

Only one partisan for Empire of the Petal Throne? It was compelling enough to be launched four separate times, and intimidating enough to crash each occasion. It's something strange and magnificent in its amazingly flavorful campaign world. The creator, Professor Muhammad Abd-al-Rahman "Phil" Barker, more or less one-upped Tolkien with his worldbuilding and linguistic inventiveness, and calqued his work on techno-fantasy Mesoamericans flavored with Arabic, Indian, and Indonesian notes. I'm waiting for the next brave, doomed soul to try and publish it.

I don't miss it because I own just about every version of it! Heck, I have even had the chance to play the game with Professor Barker on a number of occasions. I still read it from time to time as inspiration for just about any game I run.

Brave New World.
I wasn't a huge fan of the system, but I really liked the setting, and wish there could be some more sourcebooks to tie things up a little better.

Rolemaster (ICE) You want "realism" in your fantasy game? Don't stand within point blank range of heavy crossbows. Stun/bleeding/muscle damage/bone damage ... open ended rolls.

DC Heroes

Earthdawn More for the background/story. Now that was a PoL type of campaign.

TORG: (The Other Roleplaying Game) ... My low-tech barbarian in a high tech party finally runs into the same problem they always had: what do you mean my broadsword bounced off the guy wearing a loin-cloth and wielding a wooden spear? :)

Here's one I forgot to put on my list...

Skyrealms of Jorune

And if we're listing oop D&D settings then I really miss Planescape and Spelljammer.

CHILL--pacesetter edition. First convention game I ever played (GENCON '87). I love this game

Marvel and DC superheroes, as previously mentioned

The original version of PARANOIA--they sucked nearly all of the humor out when they went to second edition.
