Um, what rock were YOU sleeping under for the past 6-ish months?Pooka said:Hi !
The changes I have heard of make sense, the problem is
I CAN`T AFFORD TO BUY A SET OF NEW BOOKS!
That is just too much money! Why haven´t they tested 3.e a bit more before, or just thought two month more and made something good in the first (or better third) place ?

I've seen a bit of tolerance in discussions about the rule changes in 3.5, along with some near-rabid posts, but for the most part, the rule change discussions seem fairly moderate. The more rabid posts seem to follow someone posting whiny complaints about the fact that the books are being released at all. Posts B&Ming about how WotC is trying to steal their money, blah blah blah, yakety yakety. You'd think from some of the posts that WotC representatives are going to personally come to the poster's house and bend him over to play prison. Even after it's pointed out that you don't have to buy the new books, and the changes are going to be online for free. There is a big difference between posting "I think the changes to the buff spells are unreasonable and poorly thought out and here's why. . ." and "How dare they try to make money? Greedy bastards!!!!Forcing me to buy all new books!!!"Raesene Andu said:Oh well, perhaps I'm just confused and bewilldered by it all, but I think a little more tolerance and understanding towards those of us who raise concerns and dislikes about 3.5E and other products would be nice to see.

One thing that does really make me angry though is the behavoir of some people (especially on these forums) after hearing of the new releases. Their fanatical defence of the changes and rejection of any concerns or debate raise I find difficult to understand or tolerate. Many people have raised concerns (some similar to the points I've mentioned above, others over specific changes) and have been shouted down or ridiculed for their opinions. This has become something of a trend of late and concerns me as it tend to discourage disent and debate, both of which are good things that help promote growth and change.
As someone on this forum has already pointed out it was the complaints of whining about 3E that lead to 3.5E that the rabid 3.5 fanatics love so much (although I can't understand so much loyalty for something I haven't even seen yet), and surely that is a good thing?
